DESIGNER PROFILE | Amber Kekich from Again

Meet Amber Kekich, designer of Again.  We caught up with Amber and asked her a few questions about what inspires her! Scroll down to find out ... 

How did you get your start in fashion? 

I just always had a passion to look different and expressed that through what I wore. I learned that I could make a career out of it. So I moved to California to go to FIDM, and took it from there. 

What is your favorite fashion era so far? 

Oh man that's a tough one because each season I fall in love with elements from so many. I love the elegance of the 20's, the doll like figures of the 50's, and the glam from the 70's. 

How did you come up with the name “Again?” 

I like words that start with the letter A... haha! I think it's just from my love of vintage; the fact that clothes can be recycled and a character can be passed "Again." 

Where do you draw inspiration from for your fabulous prints? 

Well thank you. Most of them are vintage inspired, re-modernized by the fabric and shape, or just re-used. 

Who is your ultimate fashion icon? 

Today? I am into Michelle Pfeiffer in the 70's, Brigitte Bardot, and always Karl Lagerfeld's work ethic is so inspiring.

DESIGNER PROFILE / Noritamy

 

 Noritamy is one of our favorite new jewelry lines here at KIN. Designer Tammar Edelman and architect Elinor Avni, creators of Noritamy, are quite the combo and both bringing different design elements to the table. If it works, we guess it works. We love their attention to combining different elements including wood, polymers, and different fabrics to give their jewelry a feel of luxury mixed with an exclusive look and feel.
